Our National Parks

Since our van journey started, we purchased the National Park Passport book from the National Park Service (NPS). It’s been a big part of what guides our travels and how we plan our next destination.

The book includes every site listed with the NPS – historical sites, military parks, national rivers and seashores, etc. The list below, however, only includes all 63 major national parks, as Jonlee and I are only worried about hitting all of these. The extra, smaller parks are not as high on our list but we still try to get to them.

Like the map of states on the homepage, we are only checking off the parks Jonlee and I visit together in our van. I am also including a running list of international national parks. I wanted to include the list because we travel internationally without our van, as well.

Basically, the lists include anywhere we’ve gone since quitting our jobs and hitting the road! Earlier this year we spent 5 weeks in Thailand and I’ve included the national park we visited there below.

Great Smoky Mountains
Smoky Mountains NP
Hot Springs NP
Acadia NP
